About

Jackson County Early Explorers provides children opportunities to engage in developmentally appropriate exploratory play that stimulates physical, social, emotional and cognitive development, while cultivating creativity and interest in the arts and their world around them.

Jackson County Early Explorers was founded in 2018 by Jessica Isner and Cheryl Miller. This past summer, Early Explorers served over 150 children and their families through an outdoor nature-based exploration program. Over five weeks, children explored plants, animals, shadows, water, music, exercise, sensory activities, and team building. Early Explorers also hosts special seasonal events throughout the year, featuring stories, songs, art, and physical activity.

The goal of Jackson County Early Explorers is to launch a children’s museum in Jackson County that ignites an interest in science, math, reading, dramatic play, and the arts.
